Acupuncture Healing Stories

Children respond remarkably well to pediatric acupuncture — a gentle technique using stimulation only, without needle insertion. Conditions including asthma, digestive weakness, food allergies, and immune deficiency can be addressed naturally and effectively in young patients. The following are healing stories highlighting the experiences of patients treated by Master Mika in Charlotte, New York, and online.

Story 1: Asthma

Girl, 4 years old: She had been on asthma medications and an inhaler for several years due to occasional asthma attacks, often requiring emergency hospital visits. She also caught colds easily, especially during winter. Her parents brought her in to heal her asthma naturally.

Treatment: She received bi-weekly pediatric acupuncture (no needle insertion — stimulation only) for a few months, combined with custom Chinese herbal medicine. Her condition improved steadily and within a year she had no more asthma attacks, even during cold season. She was able to come off her asthma medications entirely.

Story 2: Diarrhea and Weak Digestion

Boy, 5 years old: His pediatrician determined he did not produce enough pancreatic enzymes and might need to take oral enzymes for the rest of his life. His parents were worried and decided to try natural treatment. He experienced occasional diarrhea and stomach pains.

Treatment: He began bi-weekly pediatric acupuncture (no needle insertion) together with Chinese herbal medicine. Within a few weeks his stools became firm and the diarrhea stopped. His digestion continued improving with no further discomfort. He continued bi-weekly treatment to strengthen his digestive system.

Story 3: Weak Immune System / Neutropenia

Boy, 4 years old: He had been diagnosed with neutropenia — low white blood cell count — since birth. When ill, he would sweat but could not elevate his body temperature to produce a fever.

Treatment: He received two pediatric acupuncture sessions (no needle insertion). After just two treatments his blood test showed his white blood cell count rose normally when he became sick. His pediatrician confirmed he no longer had neutropenia.

Story 4: Constipation

Girl, 5 years old: She had suffered from constipation since birth, having bowel movements only twice a week or less. She was slim and had no other symptoms.

Treatment: She received one pediatric acupuncture treatment (no needle insertion) and began a Chinese herbal supplement to support her digestion. Within a week her bowel movements increased to three to four times per week, eventually reaching once daily or at least every other day.

Story 5: Food Allergies

Boy, 5 years old: He had suffered from severe food allergies to most tree nuts and fish since early childhood. When he came into contact with these foods, he developed severe rashes around the mouth and breathing difficulty.

Treatment: He began weekly pediatric acupuncture. Within a few months his allergy test results showed he was no longer allergic to most tree nuts and seafood. He was able to introduce some nuts and seafood into his diet without reactions. He continued bi-weekly treatment to overcome his remaining food allergies. He now lives freely without fear of severe allergic reactions.
