Master Mika Ichihara is a master healer and spiritual teacher with over 25 years of clinical experience. A licensed acupuncturist in the United States and licensed pharmacist/herbalist trained in Japan, she serves thousands of patients and students worldwide through her proprietary services and sacred teaching drawn from Eastern and Western traditions.
For Master Mika, healing is not merely a return to health. It is an opportunity to grow beyond the limitation of the previous state of the body, the soul and the mind. She has witnessed from her own personal experience as well as others that healing transcend the consciousness, which can change our reality for better. This applies to us individuals but also the collective consciousness. This belief has kept her going to serve for humanity through her services and teaching for the past 25 years.
She calls this sharing her method, knowledge and support as "love & compassion". Her ultimate task is to activate your inner self for own healing, activating own potential, eventually contributing to helping humanity.
Master Mika's Healing Journey
From Pharmacy and Human Rights to Healing
Since her younger days, Master Mika has lived a life of resilience and purposeful achievement. Raised in Japan, she developed an early interest in Western medicine and obtained a degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Kobe Pharmaceutical University.
While studying pharmacy at age 19, she experienced her first spiritual awakening — drawing her toward global peace and social justice. After gaining experience in the pharmaceutical industry and clinical pharmacy, she pursued advanced law degrees in international human rights in Japan and the U.K. This led her to serve at the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations, the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM, now UN Women), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Though intellectually committed to global human rights and humanitarian work, she began questioning the root cause of war and conflict philosophically and spiritually. Seeking an alternative path to fulfil her calling, she consequently departed from the United Nations.
Continual Process of Healing and Spirituality
Her encounter with Eastern medicine came during a period of seeking answers and personal crisis. Initially skeptical, she was transformed by how swiftly it restored her health — physically and spiritually. This second awakening led her to pursue deep training in Japanese Acupuncture, herbal medicine, Reiki, meditation, Feng Shui, Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Universal Qabalah.
Through this journey of self-healing, she recognized the profound connection between health and consciousness through spiritual growth — seeing them as a continual process of total transformation toward living a purposeful, empowered life.
This was how Love & Compassion Integrative Health and Healing was established in New York.
Love & Compassion Integrative Health and Healing
This vision became the cornerstone for founding Love & Compassion Integrative Health and Healing in New York City in 2006. In 2021, she relocated to Charlotte, NC, drawn by a deeper connection to nature. Currently, she maintains dual locations in Charlotte and New York City, traveling between both cities monthly. Her services are also available online worldwide.
