Acupuncture Healing Stories

Endocrine and metabolic conditions — including thyroid imbalance, diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypoglycemia — are closely linked to chronic inflammation and systemic dysregulation. Japanese acupuncture and herbal medicine support the body's ability to restore hormonal balance and metabolic function naturally. The following are healing stories highlighting the experiences of patients treated by Master Mika in Charlotte, New York, and online.

Story 1: Thyroid Imbalance

Female, 30s: She came in for fluctuating thyroid hormones. Her levels swung between too high and too low, consistently outside the normal range.

Treatment: She received four acupuncture treatments with Chinese herbal medicine. When she returned to her physician, her thyroid hormone levels had returned to normal range.

Story 2: Diabetes

Male, 60s: He had type 2 diabetes for several years and struggled with fluctuating blood sugar throughout the day.

Treatment: He received acupuncture treatments alongside Chinese herbal medicine, which helped stabilize his blood sugar levels. He also improved his diet — cutting down carbs and increasing protein — which contributed to sustaining his overall energy and emotional wellbeing.

Story 3: High cholesterol

Male, 50s: He came in concerned about elevated cholesterol levels. He was going through a difficult relationship and carrying significant stress, and he recognized that his health was deteriorating as a result. His doctor recommended medication, but he wanted to pursue a natural approach instead.

Treatment: He received three to four acupuncture sessions combined with a Chinese herbal formula. Reiki Energy Healing was incorporated to help release tension and suppressed anger. He began to let go of the need to control circumstances beyond his reach and found a deeper sense of peace. Within a couple of months his cholesterol levels came down. He developed a more natural rhythm to his daily life and began appreciating what he had.

Story 4: Hypoglycemia with Chronic Fatigue

Female, 20s: She had suffered from chronic fatigue since her teens. She recalled it beginning when she contracted mono in high school. She had no energy to live the active life other young women her age enjoyed — she was tired all the time. Her periods were irregular, causing PMS with emotional swings. She loved sweets and indulged regularly.

Treatment: She began receiving acupuncture, which gave her noticeably more energy. She received dietary instruction — cutting down sugar intake significantly. Lemon water was introduced to help curb her sweet cravings. She completed detoxification of the colon and liver, which helped regulate her menstruation and brought emotional calm. A Chinese herbal formula strengthened her immune system. Gradually she gained more energy and became more active. She slowly began enjoying life and the happiness around her.
