Retreat on your daily life (July 23, 2007)
It is tough to have a sound, grounded life in a busy, fast-paced, big city like New York. If you are a single, there are so many options and opportunities to go out on a daily basis. Your friends may be inviting you for a cocktail or a dinner. Options are often endless one after another until you say “No.”
How many people learn how to live in a big city, working hard, but not affected by the energy of the city? Knowing that there are excessive options and opportunities, it is important that you have the courage to make your own decisions based on your Soul’s need and wellbeing. Options are often available for us to teach not necessarily to explore all, but to choose wisely and humbly.
If you have the luxury to go away for a retreat, it is great. But a retreat can take place not only for the limited time in a remote spiritual place, but also in your own place. You can be on your own retreat while working full-time and continuing your responsibilities for your family and more.
Once for a while, you can review your social environment and assess how much you are energetically affected from the social surroundings. It may be a good idea to take a break from social circles and focus on your own healing and spiritual growth.
When you are willing to be on spiritual journey, it is important to identify your own needs for growth. You don’t want to wait to nourish your Soul by the next vacation for a retreat. Spiritual journey continues on a daily basis, not waiting for a special occasion. The more you are aligned by the guidance of your Soul, the more grounded and less affected by the social environment.
This is the first step and preparation for finding your own spiritual path and spiritual journey…
