Opening the Heart (October 15, 2007)
The Heart is the symbol of Love & Compassion. This is where the Heart Chakra is located. It is also called the “Message Center” since it is the energy center that receives the message of Divine Love & Compassion.
Earlier, I wrote about “awakening the Soul” (September 17, 2007). Opening the Heart is a different process from awakening the Soul. The latter is the beginning of Spiritual Journey by which you begin to apply Spiritual Wisdom into your day-to-day life guided by your Soul. The former means that you become attuned with “Divine” Love, so that you are capable of receiving, giving and sharing with others with joy and peace.
For various reasons, the Heart is closed or shut down for many people. The most common reason is the prior experience of “fear” either in the childhood in this lifetime or in the past life. Among various human emotions, the fear is the most critical as it relates to person’s security and survival. Under the extreme traumatic situation especially in the childhood, the Heart becomes no longer tolerable for any additional emotional pain. As the consequence, the Heart is shut down. As the person grows older, the Heart may open gradually if the person allows receiving Love from others. But it often continues to be closed until any specific healing is applied.
When the Heart is closed, it does not function as the Heart Chakra/Message Center. Therefore, it is not easy to receive and give Love. The closed Heart is usually filled and stagnant with the old emotions, such as anger, frustration, grief and fear. The Heart is not cleansed by itself or replaced with new energy until any healing is applied.
The healing starts from the moment when you decide to resolve your old emotions. You can remove and heal the wounds in the past in assistance of a qualified healing practitioner. It is not removing the pain at present, but the pain in the past. Once the pain and wounds in the past are healed, your Heart will be purified. By doing so, the Heart will naturally open up, as it becomes alive and pure again.
Once the Heart is open, it will start functioning as the Heart Chakra/Message Center. You will be able to receive and give Divine Love. By then, your life will be completely transformed and empowered by being connected to and supported by the highest quality of Energy. This will be the moment when you will truly become the messenger of Divine Love & Compassion…
