Truth - Two Paths and Two Levels (June 5, 2007)

One of the great gifts in the modern society is that a number of highest divine teachings have become available to the public. Whichever esoteric traditions you may be interested, you can find renowned teachers, gurus and masters who revealed some of the greatest secrets about the Truth. Until now, such Truth was totally kept secret and only available to a handful group of people, usually transferred from the masters directly to the disciples.

We in the modern society are fortunate to receive these gifts completed by other masters, so that we have an access to a set of the Truth at hand. I personally have witnessed many mastery works revealing the Truth by masters in Taoism, Kundalini Yoga and Kabbalah. Learning the Truth through this way is the first step toward discovering the Truth. We all start from this process whenever we are called for a spiritual awakening.

The only difficulty is that we need to distinguish and select the highest teaching of the Truth rather than the rest, regardless of which esoteric tradition you would choose. A number of them claim the Truth, but please do not forget that there is a hierarchy in the Truth. In order to find the higher teaching than the other, you need quite a bit of efforts and intuition to see through the quality of the messages in the name of the “Truth.” What you are learning in meditation, such as activating your feeling and sensation, will soon help you obtain more precise intuition and messages from the Divine.

Learning and acquiring the Truth from available “external” resources, such as scriptures, lectures and writing, is a way of containing the valuable information into your system and I call it as “containment of the Truth.”

Although the path of containment is absolutely crucial and imperative in our spiritual journey, this is not enough to complete your enlightenment. It must accompany a more active form of learning through your own experience. Humans are born on the Earth to learn lessons through experiences. Often our experiences are painful and cause sufferings. The Truth that we learn from the external resources will help us prevent sufferings and making mistakes, and allow us to make a right decision based on our "free will".

As a result of your own experience, you will find your own Truth. Your job is to accumulate your personal Truth and evolve toward the higher set of the Truth. How far you go toward the Truth is your decision and also based on the arrangement pre-made before you were born by God – Creator of the Universe.

It is important to note that there are two levels of the Truth: one is the absolute Truth - the Laws of the Universe, which covers the macrocosmic system (external world) as well as the microcosmic system (internal body). This will teach you how the Universe functions and our life continues whether successfully or unsuccessfully. (I leave this subject for a future discussion.)

The other is the Truth of your own, your personal Truth, which defers from person to person. The search of your own Truth is in a way the higher goal than the other, because it is the purpose of your life in this life time. The absolute Truth, the Laws of the Universe, will serve as the tools and the driving force to reveal your inner Truth. So, the more you understand the external Truth, the easier to reveal the internal ones.

Your job is to search the Truth at the both levels through the two separate paths...
